Tatasky USB Dongle Windows Installation Procedure


[GUIDE] Tatasky Dongle (DNUB-AT1 236B) Windows (XP,7,8) Installation Procedure


Have a Tatasky+ HD Box at home..?? is your dongle lying useless as TS charge for its VOD services..??

Things you require
  • A PC/Laptop running Windows XP/7/8
  • Tatasky USB WiFi adapter (DNUB-AT1(236B))

Step 1: Connecting the adapter to your Computer
Connect the usb adaptor to your computers usb 2.0 (recommended) hub.


Step 2: Installing the driver
Do you get some error message like the one below after inserting the USB adapter. it is a common one. you need to install the driver manually as its a china product and you dont get drivers automatically.


  • Open Device Manager by clicking the Start button Picture of the Start button, clicking Control Panel, clicking System and Maintenance, and then clicking Device Manager.? Administrator permission required
  • In Device Manager, locate the device with an exclamatory symbol, and then double-click the device name.
  • Click the Driver tab, and then click Update Driver and follow the instructions.

  • Now download Driver.zip
  • and extract the files to a folder in desktop



  




  • Now select Browse and select the folder where you saved the driver
  • Click on Next.
  • Then automatically the driver will be installed and you are ready to work using your new WiFi adapter 
  • Once your all done your device will be listed as Broadcom 802.11n Windows USB Adapter in device manager.



      • If you are in windows 8 you might experience an error stating that the hash for the file is not present in specific catalog file. The file is likely corrupt or the victim of tampering. Dont worry its is because windows 8 does not allow installation of non signed drivers. so you have to first disable that to install this device. 



      Acknowledgement:
      I currently used this method to use the dongle as wifi adaptor in pc . I did not find any bugs and it worked perfectly. I am not responsible if you damage your pc or the device while installing.         I want to purchase this dongle for my TataSky set top box but after searching a lot no Indian e-commerce I am not getting it, TataSky has stopped giving it. Now I have only way to connect my STB with Ethernet cable. Can you please help me from where I can get this device?
