Using GIMP easiest way to repeat an image in a tiled fashion
- Filters ? Map ? Tile...
- Disconnect vertical and horizontal scales (break the "chain" between them).
- Switch the units to percentage (%).
- Enter
500 %for the width,100 %for the height.
